so for months now i have been wanting and waiting for a place for my sewing machine to call home. so we have been racking our brains trying to figure it out, and well we finally came up with a plan that we think we are gonna like, it’s still a work in progress but so far this is where we were and this is where we are headed….
when you first come into our little home to the right is our living area, we created a room divider using this awesome ikea book-case, on one side it had all our books, the other side had pictures of our family…
on the otherside of that room facing the book-case was our couch and beside it is a single shelf that is home for tyler’s computer.
Then as you walk down the hall you will find another 1/2 book-case with more books (mostly harvey’s) and a wall full of family photos which we hope to keep filling.
We’ll now you won’t find any of this, we still have the couch, which now divides living and dining room, but we hope to sell it for a smaller one that fits the room better (this breaks my heart because this was the first piece of furniture i ever bought myself and it was all custom, but it takes up a lot of space!)
then where the couch use to be you will find both bookcases, and one has a new desk attached. in the cubes are no longer books but rather my sewing, crocheting, scrapbooking, and craft supplies! and my sewing machine has a new home!
i love it! my desk is totally big enough forwhatever project i want to work on!
and now down the hall you will find a completed for now center of the williams family universe! (but we are still hoping to add more soon!)
well that’s it for now, next on the horizon is an identical bookshelf/desk just like mine to replace the single shelf where ty’s computer sits, so that he can have a table to do his design work and painting. but they may have to wait a month or two!
