Mommy Craft DayPosted: January 26, 2010
This past Friday and Saturday CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) Hosted a craft super show at the Anaheim convention center. For 10 years I have been searching high and low to find someone who could take me to the CHA conference but it’s for vendors and all my vendor contacts had limited tickets or weren’t able to go. So when i saw that they were hosting a craft show I was so excited! My awesome crafty friend Leslie and I got the daddy’s to watch the kiddos and we had a mommy day!
It was so fun!
We saw a lot of paper crafting and stamping which made me realize i really NEED to scrapbook. we collected business cards and information from so many booths. To name a few there was….Crafster and spotted Canary . We also got to demo the cricut cake and the Making Memories Slice which were just so fun!!!!
The slice is my new desire! they are coming out with a backing that goes on your fabric so that you can diecut your fabric! They had some samples out that were so cute where they had used the diecut on a quilt, onesies, dish towels. Oh how i want one now!!
We did a few make and takes, a tag which gave us a chance to try out some pop dot glue in a tube. (so fun!). We were also gonna make these flowers but the lady took a break and never came back 🙂 so we just took home the supplies to make ourselves.
at the Crafster booth we got make a pin, howe cute are these cute skull and crossbones.
I also fell in love with this new book which i ran out and bought of course!!! its called One-Yard Wonders: 101 Sewing Fabric Projects; Look How Much You Can Make with Just One Yard of Fabric!
I got to gawk at the new yarn from the author of Stitch ‘N Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker. and we learned about koolaide dieing wool yarn (I can’t wait to try it!)
Well off to do some crafting… but before i go i know you want to see all our “swag” (along with a few make and takes, like the fan in the corner. And of course some fun freebies like the patterns and fit guide we got from simplicity….
