apron funPosted: February 10, 2010
so as part of my “Me” sewing month i finished two aprons that were long ago started but never finished and so i took the hour out of day last week to do that….
The first one is of course my hostess apron with towel (my mom’s personal design which i have adopted)
i love the fabric i used it on an apron for a friend a few months ago. i don’t remember where i got it but its a recipe for a pie i believe. super cute!
the second apron (pardon the coloring of the picture hopefully when i’m home from the hospital i can get some better pictures) is a reversible apron…
the front is a blue fabric with some appliques
and the second side is brown with a blue stripe….
it was fun apron to make, a little bit of extra work but overall still pretty simple, the only reason i hadn’t finished was cause i kept forgetting the cut the ties. the pattern came from a favorite sewing book of mine.. Lotta Jansdotter’s Simple Sewing: Patterns and How-To for 24 Fresh and Easy Projects
To top off my apron fun, while internet surfing from the hospital bed this morning i discovered my new favorite thing about angry chicken… its called tie one on. I look forward to participating in her flicker groups now i just got to think one up 🙂
